Romania – Spain

Spain has never won in Romania. Romania has never lost against Spain at home. Anyway, I think this statistic will be broken today.

Romania – Spain (Spain -1 Asian handicap) Odds: 1.70 – BET365

This means that if Spain wins with one goal the bet will push and you’ll get your money back. But I believe Spain will win with more than a goal and that 1.70 in odds is really good value.

Romania has a significant weaker squad than Spain. While Spain has plenty of players considered world class Romania has none. It doesn’t get better for Romania considering key player Nicusor Bancu is out with an injury and their star player Alexandru Chipciu is suspended. Romania’s key player this match will be the Tottenham-failure Vlad Chiriches who is an experienced center back. The question is can a defense with Chiriches as their best player stop Spain?

It’s predicted that Spain will have a combination of experienced players and young players this match. Spain will be missing a few players. For example Isco and Marco Asensio from Real Madrid. And Alvaro Morata and Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid. This shouldn’t be a huge problem, Spain got plenty of good replacements. It’s comforting that stars like Sergio Ramos, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets are all likely to start the match. And so is the efficient Bourissia Dortmund striker Paco Alcacer.

Romania is undoubtedly a good team and they are collectively strong in defense but the world class players from Spain should win this match comfortably in the end.

As I see it the scenario of this match will be a Romanian side trying to park the bus, but when Spain first manage to score it’ll be no way back for Romania and I believe Spain will then score the second and maybe also the third goal. Football can be full of surprises but for Romania to get something out of this match they’ll need the margins on their side. I’m confident putting my money on Spain.
