Pick: Atlanta Braves -1.5 (1.86/-116)

The Atlanta Braves are facing off against the Miami Marlins. Mike Soroka is 6-1, 1.41 ERA, and has 51 strikeouts. The Marlins are going with Jose Urena who is 4-6, 4.14 ERA, and 49 strikeouts. Jose Urena has been pitching much better as of late. However, the competition in his most recent starts has been lacking. The Marlins have scored more lately while only batting .236. Mike Soroka average 4.97 runs this season, and have been batting .257.  Freddie Freeman is leading the team with 15 doubles, 16 home runs, and 38 RBI while Dansby Swanson has nine doubles, 13 home runs, and 43 RBI’s. Soroka finally gave 3 runs against the Tigers.

The Marlins are just 2-6 in Urena’s last eight Friday starts and 7-22 in his last 29 road starts against a winning team. The Braves are 9-4 in their last 13 games on the road. Even though Urena has been pitching better as of late, he struggles more at home. The Braves are also good against the sinker. I can see the Braves get to Urena early. I like the RL for this play.
