This Sunday we will try some high odds single bets on Norwegian football. If you are a serious bettor, single bets are the way to go in my opinion. So I recommend to not add these bets to a parlay unless you just bet for fun. Keep in mind Scandinavian leagues has just started and after a few weeks, our tips will get better and better when we start to see more patterns. On the other hand, there might be greater value on many bets early in the season because the bookies will have a hard time to set the right odds on these matches. Let’s hope that will give us an edge!
Notodden – Aalesund 2 Odds: 1.55
Aalesund will surely be top 3 this season and their goal is to get promoted to Eliteserien, the highest Norwegian division. They have had a good start on the season with three wins and one draw, while Notodden only got one point from the first four matches. They lost last match 4-1 to Sogndal and will probably have a hard time not getting relegated this season. Aalesund is a much bigger club with a lot more resources and higher ambitions than Notodden and they are expected to win this match comfortably. I wish odds were higher than 1.55 but in my opinion, it is worth it.
Ranheim – Viking 2 draw no bet Odds: 1.83
Ranheim is a really small club and what they achieved last year was amazing for them. They were predicted to struggle after getting promoted to Eliteserien but they were never near relegation last season and won surprisingly many matches. However, they might do too well last season because they ended up losing many of their best players to bigger Norwegian clubs and after a slow start this year with only one point the four first matches I think they really will struggle this year. Viking has started this season surprisingly strong and won 3/4 matches including a 2-1 win over Brann who last season was one of the best teams in Norway. I don’t see Viking losing this and 1.83 for draw no bet is really good value. I think Viking will win this match.
Stabaek – Bodo/Glimt 2 draw no bet Odds: 1.57
Stabaek lost their top scorer to Molde and has walked goalless off the pitch two times in the four first matches. they had an impressive win 3-0 against Rosenborg, but other than that a disappointing start on the season and they do not look good at the moment with four points in four matches. Bodo/Glimt is at the moment maybe the best team in Norway based on form. They beat Molde who is favorites to win the title and they also beat Rosenborg who has won the title every year the last few years. 1.57 in odds looks fair and I can`t really see Stabaek win this match. I am confident Bodo/Glimt will win this one.
Molde – Rosenborg x2 Odds: 2.00
Rosenborg has won the league title four years in a row. They are the biggest Norwegian club by far and it is hard for other Norwegian clubs to match their resources. However, they have had a shocking start this season. With a new manager that has been experimenting with tactics, they have only got 2 points on their first four matches and only scored two goals. Molde has played 5 matches and got 10 points so far which is a decent start for them. Molde looks stronger than Rosenborg at moment but Rosenborg got the best players in the league. Rosenborgs manager told the press that they will now go back to old tactics and therefore I think Rosenborg can win this match. As I mentioned they have won the league the last four years and they still got the best players in the league. Therefore I believe this will be their turning point. Double chance on Rosenborg is great value for 2.00 but if you are greedy you can go for Rosenborg win for 4.50 which is also great value.
Have a good Sunday everyone!
